Writing and Reporting

Through various journalism classes, such as writing across platforms and multiplatform reporting, I've learned to report on various topics across different media, including online, print, and broadcast.


In my photojournalism classes, I've completed various projects including profiles, news packages, features, documentary projects, and more. I have proficient knowledge of Photoshop, Bridge, Lightroom, and Illustrator.


In my video journalism classes, I've practiced filming interviews, b-roll, packages, features, and more. I have proficient knowledge of Premiere and After Effects.

Environmental journalism

I'm passionate about environmental policy, health and justice. I've studied and researched sustainability initiatives at the University of Georgia, interned at the Office of Sustainability, and advocate for environmental policy reform in the Athens-Clarke County community.

News Intern, USA Today Network -- Tennessee

News intern for the USA Today Network -- Tennessee. I work with breaking news, features and enterprise content teams to learn and sharpen basic and advanced journalism skills, handling reporting, writing, editing, copy desk work, online production assignments, research, database work, investigative work and visual journalism.

Video Production Intern, Office of Sustainability

Video production intern for the Office of Sustainability at UGA. Working with grant recipients and other interns, I document the projects and people encouraging and implementing sustainability at the University of Georgia.

Student Media Assistant, Office of the Dean of Students

Student Media Assistant for the Office of Dean of Students at UGA. Working with web developers and communication directors, I inform students and faculty about upcoming events, feature various students within the university, and update information across social media, university websites, and more.

Bag the Bag

Board member for "Bag the Bag," a campus and community organization advocating for sustainability in the Athens-Clarke county community and reducing waste generated from single-use items like the plastic bag. Bag the Bag UGA strives to raise awareness about the ecological and economic dangers of single-use plastic items while promoting sustainable alternatives.


President of the University of Georgia chapter of the National Press Photographers Association, an American professional association made up of still photographers, television videographers, editors, and students in the journalism field. The NPPA places emphasis on photojournalism, or journalism that presents a story through the use of photographs or moving pictures.

The Red & Black

Photo Editor of "The Red & Black," an independent, private, not-for-profit student newspaper. "The Red & Black" circulates the largest college newspaper in Georgia. Each week we distribute 10,000 copies of the print edition both on and off campus, reaching nearly 45,000 students, faculty and staff. The print edition — and daily online content — cover University of Georgia and Athens news, sports, arts, music, culture and opinion pieces.
